What about domestic violence?

In Nigeria, over 64.4% of women have reported issues of domestic violence. One in three women in India is likely to have been Subjected to intimate partner violence of a physical, emotional or sexual nature. The number of domestic violence victims amongst women is rising so fast. This rapid increase is alarming and its awakening presence on the scenes has posed a threat to the security of marriage.  

Racheal pace puts down a research on possible reasons for domestic violence which are: Mental problems, poverty, unemployment, Illiteracy, Inexperience, Relationship retention behavior, historical factors. Cultural factors, self defense, alcoholism, and suspicion of infidelity. 

The above are common issues that cause domestic violence in several homes. My question is what can really be done to tackle domestic violence issues around the world? So many women are quiet about the menace and hence gradually loose their lives to the cold hands of death. 

Regardless of the psychological and mental problems a person is posed with, battery and molestation of a mate must be avoided and dreaded. The institution of marriage is not a system to cause pain, rather marriage is created by God to build a life time of friendship and companionship.
