Benefits of Being single.
Times have changed and perspectives about everything are continuously changing. Regardless of changing times, there is still a beauty accorded to being single. The distinction of the system of marriage has also watered down the beauty of singleness.
Over the years it has been identified that the ideology of marriage was cultured into the thinking structure of young women. Young women believed that marriage was an escape route from poverty, joblessness and boredom. But in these times, so many women are territorially watchful and resistant to this ideology.
It is also mind blowing that women are fighting for their emancipation and freedom from subservient mentalities. Nevertheless, the search for identity, love and control has drawn so many women into unbearable relationships.
In the search for wholeness, many have trapped themselves in relationships that are terrible and dehumanizing. There’s a beautiful story about a Samaritan woman who was in this particular search for identity. In her search, she plunged into five marriages and she never found the right partner.
In more hunger, she navigated her path into other relationships to find the perfect one. Listen to this, it wasn’t the perfect man she sought, what she desperately needed was the in filling of a void. She needed acceptance, satisfaction and peace. Yet, she couldn’t find what she needed because she searched in the wrong places.
In that search, she found him. She found the one that was able to fill the void and unhappiness in her life. John 4:14: But those who drink the water I give will never thirst again. God wants us to find him before we find a man. In this search for establishment, we spend our single days looking for a perfect one. Never forget that the perfect one you seek is Christ.
In the period of singleness, learn to know Christ well; let him complete you. Secondly, singleness offers you the opportunity to find the path you intend to take. It is in that path that you would find the man who is right for you.
Enjoy your single moments...
