15 Lessons I have learnt from Hilda Bassey

I’ve been so quiet about the recent victory of Hilda Bassey because I’ve been observing and learning. However, I’m here to write 15 things I’ve Quietly learnt from her new feat.

1. Your passion can make you stand out In life regardless of what it really is.

2. Your family background and orientation should not be a limitation to how great you can become.

3. Excellence is not a coincidence, it is an intentional journey. People acquire excellence through focus, determination, resilience, and faith.

4. Cooking isn’t for a selected few. You can acquire excellence in the skill not necessarily to break a record but to make your life easier.

5. Looking good must be a central focus of your life. You must not necessarily show some skin, but look good, appear excellent, and smell nicely.

6. The distance between your break through and your present reality may just be a few hours away. Don’t give up.

7. Your gifts would bring you before great people. You would not have to go to them, they would come to you. Ask Hilda bassey, ask Mark zuckerberg, ask Steve Jobs  🎶🎶

8. Do not look down on anyone so you won’t be saying I knew them. Be kind to everyone.

9. Everyone should learn how to cook and clean. Take it up as an essential skill, let it become handy at all times.

10. Planning is very essential to every breakthrough. Take your time to plan as much as you can. Don’t just show up, plan.

11. At 27 her break through came. In few years to becoming 30, your break through may just come. Don’t spend your time waiting to get married. Get busy, perfect your skills.

12. You do not need a rich uncle to settle you. All you need is God and a few faithful friends who can relentlessly stand by you despite all odds.

13. Don’t settle in life. Keep reaching for the stars. There are still more steps to take.

14. If you do not do it, who then would do it??

15. Fame is a retaliation for focus, determination, and mastering your gifts.

I can go on and on, but as for me, I have learnt to never settle, to keep going, to keep my pain away and keep setting the pace.

Thank you Hilda Bassey.
