Lessons from Joyce Meyer

Joyce Meyer is a renowned teacher of the word, a world class evangelist and a philanthropist. She started off very weak in life but she became strong.

Joyce was raped by her father at a very tender age and divorced by her husband at 23 years old. She managed to put it back together when she met Dave and got married to him.

Based on what she went through as a child and a teenager, Joyce became psychologically damaged.

She tried so hard to overcome her problems but questions like “why would my father rape me” continually got in the way, she also questioned the silence of her own mother all through the period she was being raped.

Joyce set out to receive her healing from God, she didn’t know that it was a journey that could be achieved through perseverance, patience and faith. This new realization made Joyce persevere through to a place of joy and happiness.

She forgave her father and took him in to care for him during old age. She believed that destiny had placed upon her a massive call to be a blessing to the world.

Joyce was never in doubt of who she was going to become in destiny, yes she has truly become even greater.

She has held several conferences and has written over 150 books, devotionals and articles.

You may have gone through hard situations, but I want you to remember these lessons from the life of Joyce Meyer.

*Never give up, your victory is usually at the end of your perseverance.

*If you allow your past to define your future you would only have yourself to blame. Forgetting the past is hard but you would be happy when you succeed.

*Forgiveness is the only path to experience peace and joy.

*They are so many who want to hear about your stories. Do not keep it buried within you.

*Having a personal relationship with the lord is not a religious obligation, it is a sincere and personal heartfelt commitment.

*I learnt from Joyce Meyer Ministries that you can be a great minister and also be a great wife and mother.

*Do not give up even if it is the only option.
