Have hope
Everyone would have thought that the prodigal son was lost to himself and to God. Did God think that way?? No!
The young man had gone his way and squandered everything given to him. After getting broke, he returned to a father who had never given up on him.
Paul wouldn’t have been your favorite choice, he wouldn’t have even been part of your list. Did God see it that way? No!
God didn’t see it that way, he rather picked up the zeal of this young man and used it for his glory.
Some folks wouldn’t have given a prostitute like Rehab a chance to hide them away from trouble. Regardless, the demeaning picture of her flaws, mistakes and setbacks ultimately made her story relatable.
If you were to pick a handful of men to be on your team, Peter would have been on your list as the gateman. A mere fisher man, a supposed failure came in contact with a God that specializes in changing stories.
Ruth was a stranger who shouldn’t have a share of the lords blessing, but her resilience couldn’t pass God unnoticed.
A shy guy like Gideon wouldn’t have met your standards as an orator but he met Gods standards as a warrior.
You wouldn’t think of Elijah as your pastor, in no distance time, you would have walked out of the church with so much disdain for his temperamental disadvantage.
I’ve learnt from these stories that 👇🏽
God doesn’t look for perfect men, he strengthens the imperfect.
God doesn’t look for perfect situations, he functions more in really bad times.
When God is looking for a man, he wouldn’t pick your choice.
God sees the big picture but we usually see what is in front of us.
Never forget that regardless of a limitation in your life, God is in the business of changing stories.
