What to do In Nigeria now

Statistics has shown that 63% of persons living within Nigeria are multidimensionally poor. Also, 4 in 10 Nigerians live below the national poverty line. These statistics isn’t just the challenge as the present situation of things are more outrageous. The increment in fuel prices, scarcity of fuel,  inflation, and scarcity of the new Naira notes is appalling .

Few days ago I followed my mom to the filling station, we had to cue for several hours. Cueing for fuel is just a little part of the present challenges as even more more problems are fast surfacing. We live in times were people are no longer afraid to kidnap fellow citizens. The damaging effect of this reality is taking a toll on everyone as people are maimed and killed in diaspora.

Our system is collapsing in the presence of educated elites, yet is it true that nothing can be done about this? To buttress more on the decline is our academic institutions undergoing the same strike for over 40years. It has become normalized to run a 4year course for 7 years while uncertain about a job placement.

I’m writing to remind you that very soon elections would begin and we would be asked to cast our votes in an uncertain future where everyone is unaware of what could be. Please o, vote wisely, but I’m writing to remind you to trust in the Lord. How can one go through the heat of this decline and not put his hope in the Lord. No matter who sits in Aso rock, my dear, remember to put your hope in the lord.
