Vintage Devotional (The book of Ruth)

 Day I

Topic: Where are you going to, Are you there yet?

In the days when judges ruled in Isreal, a severe famine came upon the land. So a man from Bethlehem in Judah left his home and went to live in the country of Moab, taking his wives and his two sons.

Ruth 1:1

Everyone is usually on the fast pace but where are they moving towards. Fast moving cars, steady migrations, and new journeys have characterized our lives. Yet the question still remains, where are we all going to? The 21st century has been notified as fast moving with its new ideologies and technological advancements this has made things pretty easy.

Just wait a little? Are we really moving towards Gods direction or the new direction designed by our times. Have you paused to really check with God if your desires are in alignment with his will? Are we seeking for greener pastures without seeking for what would make God excited? Wait a little and think.

Our Bible study character Elimelech was plagued with very hard situations and because of this he moved without specific directions from the lord. Don’t go where everyone is going, go where God has directed you to go. In it you would see your harvest. Move towards Gods will in this new month.

Prayer point

Lord I move in the direction of your will. I choose to seek your face about major decisions in my life. I want to hear what you have to say about every area of my life. In Jesus name. Amen
