Day 23

Be kind

And Boaz answered and said unto her, it hath fully been shown me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in-law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thine nativity. And hath come to a people which thou knows not. 

Ruth 2vs 11

Life is pretty short and it is defined by the little things we think do not matter. Most of the times inner perfection isn’t gained by how much we acquire but how much we give out. 

Our Bible study character Ruth left her hometown and followed Her mother in-law to the land of Isreal. Isreal was a strange land which Ruth knew nothing about, but because of this sacrifice, she has become a great name.

In history, Ruth is not defined by her beauty or the color of her skin but she is defined by the love she showed her mother in-law. She had the choice to stay behind with orpah her sister in-law but Ruth moved forward. 

Don’t stay where you are counting your losses and the things you haven’t achieved. Instead show a hand of love and kindness to people who you know would never be able to repay you back. Most times that may be where the blessings you seek earnestly lies. Boaz blessed Ruth because of the sacrifices she made for her mother in-law. 

Show kindness to someone today, send a child back to school today, overlook an offense today. May the hand of his grace descend upon you in Jesus name. 

Prayer point 

Lord, please open my eyes to people who need my affection and love today in Jesus name.
