Day 19
Naomi replied, “Aright, my daughter, go ahead.” So Ruth went out to gather grains behind the harvesters. Then Boaz asked his foreman, “who is that young woman over there? Who does she belong to?
Ruth 2:2,3,5
This vintage is particularly written to those who are looking for something but yet are reluctant to work hard. Remember this, God doesn’t bring blessings to lazy men, he rather releases blessings to those who serve.
We live in a world where people want things they didn’t work hard to gain. So many people are willingly to let go of their conscience and integrity to get the things they seek.
Our Bible study character Ruth was a determined woman who knew what she wanted from life. Nevertheless, her desire drove her to the place of service and not illicit pathways.
It was in this place of service that Ruth met her Boaz and got her breakthrough. She didn’t stay at home expecting great things to happen for her, Ruth moved towards the fields and found not just the love of her life but became a channel through which Christ came forth.
Don’t stay at home wishing good things to happen to you. Go towards the place of service and I pray that God would transform your life.
Prayers
Dear lord, I need you to help me stay focused on the path of service. Keep my feet planted in you and my face fixed on you in Jesus name.
