Day 2

Job stood up and tore his robe in grief, then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship, he said, praise the name of the lord forever. Job 1:20,21

The Hebrew word for worship is “Shachah” which calls us to bow down before our lord. In the scripture above, Job’s worship came after the death of his children and the destruction of all he owned.

This scenario opens our mind to the Christian character of Job. He wasn’t just a man who identified himself with the Lord, but he knew the Lord. How many times have you worshipped God in the midst of mysterious crisis. Job worshipped the Lord despite the terrible things happening around his life.

One major thing we should learn from Job’s life is his character of worship. You may be going through very tough situations; yet we must be aware that the only life the lord lifts is one that is positioned in worship.

Don’t sorrow about your challenges, worship God in the midst of your pain. Just as Job was restored, you’ll get back seven folds of what you lost.

Prayer

Dear father I’m sorry for complaining and blaming you for my problems. Teach me to follow the path of worship in Jesus name.
